iTunes Installation: what you need to know
First time iTunes users. iTunes is available for both Mac and Windows users. To start your iTunes installation, first visit the Apple website.
- Next, visit the iTunes tab at the top of the page.

Installing the latest version. If you already have iTunes, you can check to see if a new update is available by doing one of two things:
- Mac users: Choose iTunes > Check for updates.
- Windows users: Choose iTunes > Check for updates.
By downloading the newest version, your iTunes application will run smoother and faster – plus any bugs in previous versions can be fixed by installing the latest version.
Support with my iTunes installation
Because iTunes is an Apple product, you have a ton of resources when it comes to iTunes support. By visiting the “Support” tab on the Apple website, you can click on the iTunes icon, and get help on a whole bunch of different issues, including downloading content, managing your library, transferring content and billing.
The bottom line here? Installing iTunes is super easy. To make it even easier on yourself, make sure your Internet connection is running at a good speed – the faster your Internet is, the faster your iTunes installation will go. If you usually get online with Wi-Fi, using a hardline connection via an Ethernet cable might be something to consider when you are downloading any kind of new software or application.
